Boring Old School Life?

School is AWESOME!! We have so many things to do this Term. We have Earn and Learn and GRADUATION!!! Last Friday we did Graduation dances. It was pretty cool, but the bad part was that we had to hold every Grade 6 boys hands. Yea.. Not cool. Haha. =D but oh well.. but some hands were a teeenie bit sweaty, ok make that VERY!! Haha =D. Tomorrow is Isabel’s Birthday!! She’s like my BFF in Australia, including Ashleigh they’re both AWESOME!! That’s why I love school soo much! I’ve been doing hand stands, and flips on bars. I fell on my head twice doing handstands, once was because I was too far from the fence and my hands were too wide. The second reason was that I was trying to do a backbend (bridge) when I was in a handstand, Isabel was meant to help me, but INSTEAD she accidentally dropped me, sooo yea, that’s when I fell on my head. Haha =D.

We’ve been trying to do pyramids, but it seems that some people are just too heavy, or not strong enough, and we come tumbling down. Hehe =D isn’t that fun?? Haha =D

Spring Camp in Grampians the Pinnacle

The first day at Grampians.. After a long and horrible four hour drive we finally reached Grampians! Janna, Claire and I slept in one room with 2 bunk beds and 3 single beds! Can you believe it!? Only three of us in one room with 7 beds. Haha! Anyway.. Claire, her parents and another family were the first to arrive at Grampians. Then we were the second and finally the Uni students. We unpacked and went into the meeting hall. In there we were given our camp booklets and Joy gave us an option of whether we wanted to climb/hike up the Pinnacle or either to have a relaxing afternoon at Venus Bath. In the end we chose to climb the Pinnacle. We first changed into suitable clothes to climb and then packed our things. When we were done we went back to the hall to get ready for our journey. We took three cars and drove to the ‘Wonderful Car park’.

There we started our journey, the climb up was 2 hours and down was 2 hours, so altogether was 4 hours of hiking/climbing. On the way we took pictures and hiked.
Duh!! Haha =D finally we arrived at the Pinnacle; I was the first to arrive!! Haha =D By the way, IT WAS FREEZING COLD UP THERE!! Trust me. I was only wearing a t-shirt and a jumper!! Haha =D but I can stand the cold. So oh well no biggie. Haha =D here are some pictures that Janielle took of the hike up the Pinnacle.

After that we had Nasi Lemak for dinner and then went to sleep. Watch out for the next day! ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz….

Royal Melbourne Show

W-O-W!! The Royal Melbourne Show was AWESOME!! We had a really good time. First we went in to the ‘Carnival/Show/Theme Park and went into the Art, Craft and Cookery section. There were tons of things in there; there were cupcake, clothing, wood work, and art and craft competitions. We went to the calligraphy section where I had this lady do calligraphy on a piece of card for me. It was REALLY cool! The best part was it was for free!! Haha =D Next we went to the Grand Pavilion, it was really cool cause we got free food. Like there was a Safeway section where they gave us samples of Safeway food. There was honey, couscous, wine, potato chips, corn chips, yoghurt, milk etc. there were tons and tons of food. I enjoyed that A LOT!! Haha =D After that my sisters and I went to look for Show Bags. First we went outside the areas and looked and then only we went into the Show Bag Pavilion. It was REALLY BIG and there were tons of Show Bags and LOLLIES!!! Haha =D It was really fun hunting for Show Bags. Finally, when I chose one I called my parents to come and look at it. They said there were far too many lollies (Duh! That’s the point) so I bought the one which was cheaper and lesser lollies!!

After that we went to the Farmyard Nursery. It was pre-e-e-ety cool. We went outside first and later went inside. Outside we saw alpacas, cows, bulls, sheep and tons more. After that we went inside and we went to the area where there was this mother lamb that was going to give birth. Re-e-ealy exciting! Not! We waited for like 10 minutes and it still hasn’t given birth yet! So we went to the fenced area where we could go inside and touch the sheep and chickens! They were soooo cute!! Haha =D After that we went out and wanted to see the ‘Dog Show’ but when we went there we kinda’ realized that the people had finished doing their performance. So we went back to the Grand Pavilion and ate our sandwiches and went again for free samples of food! Haha =D

Once we were done we went out and realized that the ‘Grand Show’ had already started! So we found seats and watched. It was really cool because these motorbike people did really awesome tricks like they flipped in the air and stuff! Haha =D Finally the best part came: FIREWORKS!!! Haha =D I thought that the fire works weren’t that good compared to the New Year Day one. Haha XD Well anyway after that we drove back home. Haha =D

Summer Sports

Summer Sports was AWESOME!!! We had soo much fun. The schools that were playing were Surrey Hills, Kingswood and Blackburn (but we had two teams: Blackburn Gold and Blackburn Maroon). The people in my team were: Me, Isabel, Mel, Cecile, Madi, Lauren, Chantelle and Emma. The first match looked like this:

The people in Blackburn Maroon were: Ashleigh, Laura, Lisa, Charlotte, Ruby, Ellie, Rachael and Nicole.

We served the ball first and played and we WON!!!! We got two sets (a set is if you get 11 points and the other team is 2 points below you). It was pretty cool winning. Haha =D our second match looked like this:

Blackburn Gold vs. Surrey Hills

We also won for this and we served first!! Can you believe it! Two in a row man! Hahha =D our third match was:

Blackburn Gold vs. Kingswood

This time Kingswood served and guess who won?? US!!!! Hahaha. We won three in a row now. After this match we versed:

Blackburn Maroon then Surrey Hills and finally Kingswood

Guess what?! We WON!!! ALL THREE MATCHES!! So that’s like SIX IN A ROW MAN!! We are awesome!! Haha..

Finally we had a break and the lady announced that we were playing Surrey Hills in the grand final and that Kingswood would be playing Blackburn Maroon. We were soo psyched! Haha. Anyway.. we played Surrey Hills and guess what!? We lost!! We were SUPER-DUPER disappointed, but oh well, we were actually the real winners cause, and the places and scores were:

In 1st place: Surrey Hills with them winning 5 games out of 7 games.
In 2nd place: Blackburn Gold with them (us) winning 6 games out of 7 games.
In 3rd place: Kingswood with them winning 3 games out of 7 games.
And in last place: Blackburn Maroon with them winning 1 game out of 7 games.

So basically we ACTUALLY won. But.. They only count the Grand Final, so oh well, haha =D all that matters is that we had a good time. But still it’s pretty unfair! And the worst bit is that Surrey Hills gets to go to Zones! Can you believe that!! We played better and we are not in Zones! ARGGHHH.. It’s soo frustrating!!! =( I’m officially angry now! Haha =(

OMGOODNESS!! Only about 12 more weeks until school finishes!!! AHHHHHH!!!! =D hahhaa.

HAIL!!!

I can’t believe it!! I experienced hail today!! Yay!! Haha =D. it was pretty awesome! It was lunch time at about 2:00pm it started to hail. At first I thought it was just rain. Then suddenly somebody out of somewhere shouted “HAIL!!!” and then everybody started to scream. It was really scary because, the sky became soo dark and the wind was blowing so hard! I was wondering MY GOODNESS!! The wind feels like a hurricane!! It was FREAKING scary!! haha.. so we started running towards our classrooms. Or any classrooms actually!! It was like chaos, until finally we were back in our classrooms and Mrs. Pollnitz was at the door saying “Don’t panic!” haha.. that was funny. My friend and I were like one of the first ones to get into the classrooms because we were closer to the classrooms! Ahaha.. and then other people came in and they looked even more wetter than me!! Ahha.. That was AWESOME!! But also very pain! The stinking hail kept on aiming for my FACE!! ARGGHHHH!! Well actually, everybody got hit in the face! Haha.

Level 4 Camp 2009 Weekaway

Hellooo!!! I just came back from my school camp on Wednesday! It was totally awesome!!! Haha..

Where I slept for camp was a really good place. We had cottages (which have ensuites in them) while other people had cabins, and they all had to share bathrooms! Haha =D There are 4 rooms in the cottages.
Room 1 was – Mrs Pollnitz, Miss A, and Mrs Cranage.
Room 2 was – Me, Ashleigh, Jacinta, Charlotte, Madi S, and Tiria
Room 3 was – Brooke, Maddie E, Jayde B, Nicole, Hayley, and Kate K.
Room 4 was – Jack B, Anthony, Christian, Liam, Jerry, and Darcy.

Outside our bedrooms (Central Lounge) we had a Microwave, Fridge, Sink, Stove, Table, Cabinet, Gas heater, and TELEVISON (but we had no time to watch anything) =(. Annnndddd the best part was that nobody living in the cabins are allowed to go into our cottage! Haha. But we can go into their cabins!! Haha.. The place was really awesome! =D

Day 1.

Monday 13 of July 2009,

We were all in school getting ready to go for camp. We were all SUPER excited! Haha. We left at 9:20A.M and arrived at camp at about 10:50A.M. When we reached camp we had a tiny meeting about the rules in the lounge. After that we settled in, unpacked, had a tour of the camp and where the activities were gonna be and then ate our lunch. At 1:45P.M. I had “Initiatives”. Initiatives is about teamwork and how to get each other across the tanbark floor (which we pretended to think it was lava) with the ropes and wood. It was really fun, but also it was pretty hard to do. Haha.

After initiatives we had “Low Rope Course” it was also preettttyyy fun! We had all sorts of rope courses and we also had rope burn when we did the Triverse! Haha.. It was really hard and painful!

Next, at 3:45P.M. we had afternoon tea of Cordial and Biscuits.
After our afternoon tea we had the next round of activities which was Frisbee golf. It was really disgusting because there was kangaroo poop all over the place, and when you throw your Frisbee it might land into kangaroo poop! Haha.. I touched the kangaroo poop once cause I didn’t know it was on my Frisbee!! Haha.. That was totally gross! Then we finished at 5:15P.M. and had an half-an-hour break in our cottage, while the “Anteaters” went out to the dining room for duty. At 6:00P.M. we had dinner. The food at Weekaway was AWESOME!! We had Lasagne, Chet Potatoes and Mixed Veggies. Then for dessert we had Ice Cream with a topping of our choice. The toppings were Chocolate, Caramel, Strawberry, Blue Heaven, and Lime. I chose Chocolate. After dinner we had night time activities, we either choose to stay in the lounge and play board games or talk or go into the dining room and watch ‘Over the Hedge’. My friends and I chose to stay in the lounge and talk, because we didn’t like ‘Over the Hedge’. One hour later Mrs Lippiatt told us that we were going to have supper and that later after supper if we wanted to be can stay back and continue watching the show. For supper we had Biscuits, Chocolate Truffle, and Milo. After we had supper we went back to our cottage to chat. Soon the teachers came back and told us that it was time to sleep, so we went into our beds and got ready to sleep. We didn’t sleep until about 12 something, because we were chatting and playing with our torches. Finally we went to sleep! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzZZ……..

Level 4 Camp Weekaway Day 2.

MORNING!!! YAAWWWWNNNN!!! Hahah.. Mrs Pollnitz and Miss A woke us up at 7:15A.M. to get changed and to get ready for breakfast. At 7:45A.M. the “Lyrebirds” went for their breakast duty. Fifteen minutes later we all got ready to go for breakfast in the dining room. We had Cereal and Toast for breakfast. Then at 9:30A.M. we had our next activity which was canoeing. It was really AWESOME!! I paired up with Breanna because Madi went with Laura.. I was pretty fun. We played some games and paddled around. Breanna didn’t do much paddling because she was afraid of the water. Haha. =D. Anywayy we had tons of fun doing that!!

After canoeing we had Morning Tea, which was basically the same thing we had for Afternoon Tea yesterday. After our morning tea we had Rogaining (Treasure Hunt) it was actually really fun! Haha. Madi, Laura, and I were in the same team, and I think we were the team that scored the most points.. Hehe.. but Oh Well, who cares if we win or lose.. Haha.

Next after Rogaining was lunch, we were on lunch duty so we immediately went into the dining room to set up.. Madi, Laura, and I all sat on different tables because we had to serve different people. For lunch we had Chicken Wrap, with any veggies we want (Lettuce, Carrot, Cheese, and Tomatoes. I had Cheese, Lettuce and Carrot and Mayonaise). And for dessert we had Chocolate Cake

After lunch we had our next activity round which was Archery. For somebody like me who needs to wear glasses to see far distance, I was pretty good. I shot a few whites, blacks and blues.

Next after Archery we had FLYING FOX!! That was the best part of all man! Haha.. We were on a platform on top of a hill. It was quite hard too, because once we were unclipped from the Flying Fox we had to take the rope and run back uphill again to give it to the lady doing the Flying Fox!! Haha.. =D

As Usual, we had Afternoon tea after the Flying Fox. And…………. We had Biscuit and Cordial again!! Haha… For Activity Round 8 we had Bush Rescue!! It was quite nice, but it was really difficult! The story goes like this.
“G.I. Jane was in an aeroplane when it crashed in the middle of the jungle. She is wounded and injured. Carry G.I. Jane through the forest so that she can be in safety.” We have to carry G.I. Jane through the forest!! Haha.. She’s really heavy, inside her body it isn’t hollow, and it’s like solid. There will be four people carrying stretcher and a scout in front to guide the people carrying the stretchers and the people behind. We rotate every time we reach a checkpoint. We must make sure that she doesn’t bang into anything if not we’ll lose points. We go about 300 something points!! Haha.. That’s pretty good. Lyrebirds got -20 points!! Haha! Soo funny!

After the bush rescue it was time to head back to our cabin(s)/cottage to bathe and have a break. The Sharks left at 5:45P.M. to go for dinner duty. For dinner we had Roast Beef with Gravy, Carrots and Peas, and Potatoes. For dessert we had Apple Crumble with Cream! While we were having dessert Miss Moor came up and told us that tonight we were supposed to go to the Recreation Hall for some team activities. And the winner would get seconds of supper. We can choose whether which challenge we want to do or we can do all.

The 1st one was – Trivia
The 2nd one was – We all dress up in a costume or one person dresses up in a costume.
The 3rd one was – we make up a team song
The 4th one was – Relays
And the 5th one was – Sorry! I forgot! Haha.

Soon after we had all the challenges done we went for supper. The Magpies won so they got to have seconds of Honey Joys. We went into the dining room for supper. The Honey Joys were AWESOME!! Haha.. =D Then after supper we went into our cottage and got ready to sleep. We slept earlier than yesterday because, maybe, we were all tired. Haha. Snore*Snore*Snore*

Level 4 Camp 2009 Weekaway Day 3.

Wakey wakey!! Haha. We woke up at 7:30A.M. and got ready for breakfast. For breakfast we had Pancakes and Cereal, then at 9:30A.M. we took our bags to the Recreation Hall and went and tidy up an area of the camp. At 10:00A.M. we had Yabby person! It was really good! Its like this race but there are tons of different stuff.

First we needed to do a team sit then the Go-Fers to collect a baton (Water Balloons) and if any pop they will run to the bucket and get new ones. Then we needed original Canoeist to race. We also needed a Castaway person to be left on the island in the middle of the lake to make a waterproof, Windproof and Sunproof hat using whatever there was on the island (Weeds, Grass, Soil, and Kangaroo Poop). We needed a Basketballer that could throw the basketball into the basketball ring, 2 times in a row. Then we needed 2 ballooners to blow up a balloon, tie it, and use our backs and walk around the rock and then pop it using our backs.

Then we need somebody to run around the dam (lake). And we would need somebody to score 3 tennis balls into the tins (or their water balloon). We would also need 2 egg and spoon people, both of them would need to walk around the rock with their egg (water balloon) without dropping on to the ground. We would need 2 Egyptian Slaves to make out of the plastic cups a tower (3 at the bottom, then 2, and then 1) and carry it around. Then they will run to the 2 wheelbarrow people and they will carry each other. Then the wheelbarrow people would pass the water balloon to the original canoeist and they will collect their castaways from the island and they will be tested. Once they are tested the 1st two canoe racers will get their canoe paddle to the first boey and paddle back and give the canoe to the 2nd two canoe racers will do the same thing. Once they come back there will be six people to carry the canoe up to the rack and do a team sit.

And again the Magpies won. After the Yabby Person we had lunch (Honey Roll) then we put our luggage into the bus and then we stay into the Recreation Hall to say thank-you to all the parents that came and then we get into our bus and we drive back home.

School Camp!

YAY!!

School camp is coming and i'm like super excited! Haha.. I'll post all about it when I get back. Haha =D I think its gonna be awesome, after all its my first school camp and its gonna be, like, super COLD!! Haha...

Birthday!!

OMGOSH!!!

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Yay!! Haha... I've been waiting for a long time for this! Haha.. Today for my birthday.. I'm going to Hungry Jacks and buying a Stunner Deal. I know I know! Sounds lame right.. Wait! Next Saturday i'm going to Volcano Joes Buffet!! Hahah!! I'm TOTALLY EXCITED!! Hahah.. Will post 'bout it! Haha
